Mapped at 45.2959, -114.6044.
Stoddard Pack Bridge spans the Main Salmon about a half mile below the Middle Fork confluence (guide mile ~96.5). The 348-foot suspension bridge was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937 and long provided the only pack-bridge access into the Stoddard/Papoose wilderness country. It collapsed into the river in 2017 after being struck by large rocks; reconstruction options have since been debated by the Forest Service and river advocates.
