Underwater Canyon at about mile 51.1 is a calm reach where rock ledges drop away underwater into a deep ravine popular for snorkeling. A trail leads to cliff-wall pictographs above the river with a canyon overlook; Northwest Rafting and related guides describe the locale as a sacred Tukudeka fishing place. The site is called out in mile-by-mile guides but has no named waypoint in the TripForge Middle Fork GPX.
